Ruth Kilbourne
Director
I've spent over 30 years building up a pretty diverse skill set, working across industries like Pharmaceuticals, Construction, and everything in between. My expertise covers manufacturing, distribution, project planning, sales and service industries.
Over the years, I've taken on roles like Office Manager, Purchasing Manager, Compliance Officer, Data Analyst, Production Planner, and Vendor Scheduler - so let's just say, I know my way around a business! I’ve worked with all kinds of companies, from small family - run firms to major players like GlaxoSmithKline and New Balance.
Outside of work, I love to travel, socialise, hit the gym and go for walks. Fun fact: I was part of the Meet and Greet team at Liverpool Airport for Eurovision 2023 - what an experience that was!
I’ve also given guest lectures at Liverpool John Moores University, sharing insights on ISO standards and the audit process.
These days, I’m the Director of RK Auditing, where I handle resource planning, strategic development, and the implementation of ISO 14001, ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and Health & Safety accreditations.
David Gilbert

I’ve spent over 27 years working across both public and private sectors, helping businesses grow, stay compliant, and run more efficiently. My background covers everything from project and people management to health and safety and business development.
I spent some time working with the U.S. Federal Government before heading back to the UK, where I’ve held roles throughout the North West. Over the years, I’ve helped secure funding, launched new business areas, recruited and managed teams, and developed health and safety policies that actually work in real life.
Eventually, starting my own business felt like the right move. These days, I run two private sector companies where I focus on health and safety, bid and tender management, resource planning, strategic development, and ISO implementation.
I’m all about keeping things practical, honest, and straightforward—no jargon, no fluff—just helping businesses get things done the right way.
Andrew Hughes

I’ve been working in the construction industry for over 30 years, taking on roles as both Contracts Manager and Construction Manager. Over the years, I’ve built up a solid background in construction health and safety, and I’m NEBOSH and IOSH trained, with an ISO 45001 Lead Auditor qualification under my belt.
I bring hands-on experience in CDM, drawing take-offs, planning applications, and site management. Whether it’s keeping projects on track or making sure everything’s safe and compliant, I’m all about getting the job done right.
When I’m not on site or buried in plans, you’ll probably find me watching Everton (even when they test my patience), out running, walking, or cycling—or cheering on the local lads at Mossley Hill Athletic.
